Postdoctoral Position in Adaptive Software Systems

A postdoctoral position is available in the Adaptive Systems Research Lab,
led by Dr. Marin Litoiu at York University, Toronto, Canada. The applicants
should have a recent doctoral degree (obtained in the last two years) in
Computer Science or a closely related area. Previous research experience in
the fields of cloud computing, quality of service, adaptive systems or
performance engineering will be evaluated positively. The successful
candidate is expected to have an outstanding research record, be highly
motivated and proactive, have excellent organisation and communication
skills, and be eager to disseminate research results. Fluency in English is
a prerequisite.
Adaptive Systems Research Lab conducts research in several areas,
including:
*Software and Performance Engineering
*Cloud Computing
*Autonomic Software Systems
*Software as a Service

York, situated in the cosmopolitan city of Toronto, is Canada’s third

This postdoctoral fellowship is funded jointly by the Ontario Ministry of
Research & Innovation and York University.
The salary per annum will be $50,000 plus benefits, and the duration will
be two years. The successful applicant is expected to complete his/her
Ph.D. no later than six months after beginning the fellowship. The
applicant must spend 1% of her/his time mentoring undergraduates at York.
